| Established in 1972 to meet the region’s demand
for technical expertise in civil and structural engineering,
T.Y.Lin South East Asia operates from Singapore as an affiliate
office of T.Y.Lin International based in San Francisco, USA.
In 1990, T.Y.Lin International along with T.Y.Lin South East
Asia came under the Dar Al-Handasah Group and became part
of a global network of distinguished consulting firms that
are well renowned in their markets of operations. Our objective
is to identify the specific business needs of our clients
and provide added value through technical excellence, delivery
through efficient organization and flexibility through personal
service and commitment.
In November 1995, T.Y.Lin South East Asia became the first
civil and structural consultancy firm in Singapore to be awarded
with the ISO9001 quality management certification, further
enhancing the services to our clients.
T.Y.Lin South East Asia maintains two major departments,
Building and Infrastructure. The firm has provided consultancy
services to more than 400 clients in the region and has handled
over 600 projects involving a total investment cost of US$10
billion (construction costs for executed projects). Building
upon our specialist skills in structural modeling, analysis,
design and construction support, the firm has re-invented
itself over recent years and taken on a project management
role with proven capability to deliver an integrated package
of services covering every aspect of the project, tackling
complex projects requiring the co-ordination and management
of many different experts and professional disciplines. Clients
have included government agencies, private institutions as
well as contractors.
Together with a strong network of engineering experts and
project management support from Dar Al-Handasah Group and
leading academics acknowledged as authorities in their respective
fields of expertise, T.Y.Lin South East Asia and associate
offices in Asia maintain a regional presence of 300 core staffs
with diverse backgrounds to provide project teams with the
understanding and expertise relevant to every situation and
country. Singapore office has a headcount of 90, out of which
15% are registered professionals, 50% technical and 35% support.
In July 2004, T.Y.Lin South East Asia has changed its name
to T.Y.Lin International with the intention to create a unique
corporate identity as a group affiliated to its main office
T.Y.Lin International of San Francisco, USA and also to commemorate
the 50th anniversary of T.Y.Lin International of San Francisco,
USA.
