Description: The project consists of approximately 720m long at-grade road adjoining 2.1km long road viaduct with 3 lane dual carriageway from Kaki Bukit area to Tampines Avenue 10. There are 2 associated ramps connecting to Bedok North area.
Project Highlights:
The elevated precast viaduct, of typical 45m spans, is made up of a triple cell box girder (with skylight openings at 3m interval) and transverse cantilever T-slabs. Box girder was constructed using precast segments using a combination of internal and external post tensioning. Span by span launching of precast segments are performed using overhead steel truss. Precast cantilever T-slabs are held in place by transverse post tensioning. The South Bridge was constructed by precast segment with external post tensioning similar to the elevated viaduct.
