Description: Prudential Tower is a 30-storey Office building located on a prime site at China Square. It has column-free lettable space and is linked by underpass across the busy Church Street/Cecil Street junction to the Exchange Building near Raffles Place MRT Station.
Project Highlights: The building is founded on bored pile foundations. Typical floor system comprises one-way prestressed concrete slab supported by prestressed concrete beams. Two transfer beams at 2nd Storey to provide a wide front and back entrances for the building at ground level. Open cut method was adopted for the construction of the underpass to minimize traffic flow disruption and lane closure at the busy Church Street/Cecil Street junction.
Awards: FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Awards, 2004 – First in Office / Industrial Category. |
