Mr Philip Yeong-Wai Chow (age 80), founder of T.Y.Lin South East Asia Pte Ltd, passed away peacefully at home in Orinda, California on July 29, 2004.
Mr Chow had a distinguished career in civil engineering before he retired in 1994 as President and Chairman of T.Y.Lin International in USA, a world renowned engineering consulting firm. Author, holder of 14 US patents, and recipient of numerous international awards, he developed the winning design for the Gibraltar Strait Crossing and an innovative structure for the lunar environment. |
